I'm probably as dumb as you are but I usually put a positive gator clip on the farthest battery and a negative clip on the opposite end. Whether it's right or not it works because I had to do that a lot when I stupidly left my 12v cooler plugged in.

Well, my day officially sucked donkey dick.
Got up to see this first off.

Yeap, it sucked digging that out. So after I did that and started it. I immediately smoked a belt...swell. obviously can't get in the shop so....crap. I pull it out in the driveway and beat the crap outta it to open the hood. So much snow jammed up in there. Since I can't get in the shop....no tools....crap. so, I grab my short handle shovel and proceed to beat the holy hell outta my passenger side storage door on my Pete. I need tools and they are frozen inside. Got tools and took off all the guards. Retrived the broken belt. However, now I can't go anywhere because there is 7 foot of snow drifts for 1/2 Mile down the drive. Awesome. So, incomes the rotary to save the day.

Hooray for the rotary. So, hours later. Had to plow all the way to the hiway because the county guys are nowhere to be found. So, 5 trips to Napa later and I finally have a belt that fit.....swell. I've been to town more today than I do in a month! Ohh, and I managed to cave in the front right dually fender on my new pickup in the process....so I got that going for me. A million buckets later and I got the shop door open....awesome. so I gave to bright idea that I need a snow bucket. Until I see how much they cost....yeah...screw that.
I'm picking up a new snowthrower while I'm out .....if I ever make it out. Snowing again now. Looking at a Lorenz and a Erskine. My plow is an Erskine...good stuff. I'll post pics when I get it. Just got in the house. Typing this from my bathtub......don't judge me. :p

Hoping to actually get loaded tomorrow. So I can drive back to rapid city so Pete can fix my leaking pumpkin for the 3rd time. Yay mediocrity. :angry3:

2am, was rolling through a big metro area. 4 lanes wide. I am in number 3 passing another rig. A car is passing me in 2 and a car is passing 2 in lane 1.

Had a sports sedan cut off truck in lane 4, guns it, cuts me off and tries to cut between 2 and 1. I’m on the brakes because I see the sedan is carrying too much speed to be maneuvering. It hits both cars, plants 2 into the wall. The sedan and one bounce off the wall, cross all 4 lanes and go on a field trip. By this time, all that can be seen is smoke and metal and plastic and wheels flying all over.

You can actually cut the crimp part off and replace it with a hose clamp

Them AWD Astros were popular around here. I always wanted one for a work beater. Just never got one.

I only ever owned 1 2.5. Bought mine locked up. Oil pump drive gear lost some teeth and locked up at idle. I rebuilt motor. Later to blow a head gasket. Repaired it again. Sold it to a buddy and weeks later it lost the drive gear again and locked up in his driveway. Never knew why. I used gm gear and shafts.

Yesterday some Darwin almost hit the trifecta. You can see there's all the room in the world plus some. He was backing in on the left of me with a spotter even. The docks are spaced out wide, almost 2 truck widths apart. Still even with his spotter flagging him to stop and me laying on the air horn he came within 2 feet of taking my hood off. Air horn blasting wasn't enough of a cue to make him stop. Luckily his spotter finally got his dumbarse attention. That was number 1

Number 2: Darwin blocks the entrance/exit doing God knows what. It's like they can't think "gee maybe I'm blocking the place maybe I should move." Nope not a care in the world other than him.

And strike 3 is me following them leaving the facility to watch them follow their GPS on a 10 ton weight limit road that takes them way out of the way instead of heading another 1/4 mile and hanging a left would of brought right to the interstate ramp. Facepalmo_O

My oh my how these non English speaking people manage is beyond me. Took 30 min to hit the dock on a pretty much straight back
