You've probably heard about all the shenanigans involving a company with a farm animal in its name running over stuff out in that mine too.

Rod works for CarFarmers now. He's got one of those SSR pickups with a factory supercharger. Kind of a purple color, rare he says. He's from Peace River, but was born in Ethiopia while his parents were missionaries there. Interesting guy.

Hahaha. Same company that had a boat parking lot in their name. It was a sad day when they went under..
I can't recall who replaced em. But it was a dumpster fire..

Most of the old equipment was completely hammered. Every hoe needed the front linkages built up and line bored. Some were so bad the bucket pins actually broke through the bottom of the stick.

I remember going out into the laydown to patch a few of the uglier units up to go to Ritchies. I think I counted around 15 excavators lined up in a row and a team of welders building up all the bores and another team line boring them for new bushings.

I think the purchase was more about getting their foot in the door, rather than the equipment itself.

From what I heard there was a divorce and gambling issues with the owner..
But that was loong time ago and definitely may be mistaken..
