The F550 was the fault of the driver. He parked in the no vision zone of a 797. 797 drove away, viola.

The guy who wrecked 2 pickups in 2 days was a company man... very difficult to get fired from big companies like that.
They usually promote idiots like that so they don't destroy or hurt people more. Seen it a few times. Hence the reason i never joined and stayed with the contracted company I was with. We used to joke that part of the hiring process for the large oil company was a complete frontal lombatomy..

I did something similar a few years back on our '97 F250. The outstanding quality of the steel used on the right bank head corroded to point of starting to leak, from the inside out, along with the fuel tank starting to leak also. Went to tear the engine down resulting in the fuel injection system pretty much disintegrating, couldn't find a replacement, OE or aftermarket. Replaced the head and water pump, picked up a new Edelbrock manifold, rebuilt a Holley 4bbl, and fabricated a new throttle plate to accommodate the TPS (throttle position sensor) so it would shift (auto trans). Replaced the fuel tank/straps/lines and installed a new low pressure fuel pump, life is good again for the old truck, for now anyway, but can never beat our old '75 F250.

@kwswan Funny story. Well, not really. Pulled in this morning after fighting traffic, there’s 2 other trucks in front of me. No big deal, this won’t take long right ?? Manager comes out and said they sent everybody home by 7 this morning, because of the incoming weather. So i says the snow is supposed to be done by noon. Nope. Not bringing anybody back in today. Ok. How about tomorrow. Nope. Not tomorrow either. He says see ya on Monday.
