    Carbon steel in the old Chi Cut and Case knives. No longer allowed and stainless steel does not hold the edge they did.
    Bake a large potato. Stick the blade in it completely. Let it all cool down cold naturally. Sharpen, will hold a better edge.

    Driveway is still a inch thick sheet of ice. Warmed up to 25 today. Saw tiny bit of melting Tried to make ice submit but it just laughed at me. Thats ok after tomorrow highs will be near 50. We'll see whos laughing then -
