And it wasn't much better last night getting her off the hill, 1st gear the whole way down. Can't really tell from the pics but that's about 15% grades, maybe a tad more in a few spots.

Across the ridge is I-81 right at the state line. If you zoom in you can just see the chicken coop coming into PA

Living in Bonners and other areas of the PNW you can not have forgot that you need to move your truck a foot or so 3 or 4 times when you come in to park with hot tires. This is something I learned while pulling A-trains of liquid in the 70's after pulling in hot to unload and sitting in one spot for 45 min and spending 1.5 hours to get out of the parking lot.
I also started carrying a 1 gallon jug of "floor dry" to sprinkle around the tires if I did "ice down".

Researching heat pumps myself right now. Seems like the climate crowd believe HP's will be the utopia in their quest to eliminate all use of fossil fuels, including wood. Attached is what the one-party communist state of new yuck has proposed (demanded), all 861 pages, to commence implementation January 2024. To save you time, if you are so inclined to read it, skip to pages 119-130, that is the gist of it regarding home heating (called "space conditioning"), cooking and hot water. They expect full implementation of their master plan (pipe dream) by 2030. I doubt you will see this proposal in the MSM until the current 120 day public comment period has expired, I had to dig to find it. In their quest for total elimination of fossil fuels they plan to utilize "green" hydrogen, as opposed to blue or grey, in addition to wind, hydro & solar to produce the electricity necessary to meet the demand...

Lol, oh....I'm not making excuses. I definitely screwed the pooch on that one. I was tired and pissed. I'm just glad I got out. The guy beside me and behind me where still trying when I left. Honestly if I was thinking, I would have just ran over my spot a few times before I parked and mashed it down good first. O'well, there's always next week.....lol.

 

Hmmmm, I wonder what the legalities are of that. Because it's electric, it doesnt have an epa system on it to remove........hmmmmmm.
