Setup question Cobra 29 LTD Classic

So this is my first time installing my CB myself.

I have the ANT coax and a power and ground cable in my truck.

I don't see where my CB takes that power. I checked the manual, but it was surprisingly... vague. Unless I'm missing something or just dumb.



I've checked truckstops for an adapter piece that might fit that plug I see, but I haven't seen anything like that.

What's that plug piece called?

 

I went into petro and I found the cord. So I hooked it to the wires in my cb slot above my head.

Red wire to power, black wire to ground. It's still not working. No power. Not sure what's going on. As far as I know it should just work.

 

When I turn the battery on, the wire seems to be live. It sparks when it touches other metal.

 

My connection from battery to adapter piece may not be good enough. I thought I had a pair of pliers, but can't find them now. May have to buy another pair.

Its not powering on even with the truck turned on.
