Eye to the side on coil racks? You’re not going to like this, but that’s perfectly legal. Chains are not legally required.God prefers Diesels, CAXPT, Razororange and 2 others Thank this.

Here's a Texas special... I really dont know why some people do open deck work, why not just pull a van? Maybe if he had some bungee's, he could keep his cabinet door shut. Or he could buy a new/used trailer box... Maybe?

Are you pointing out the most excellent tarp work, or the open vault door?Dadetrucking305, PoleCrusher and shooter19802003 Thank this.

how should this be done

Chains through that metal eye in the center. If the shipper won't make them line up they can take that crap off the trailer.MACK E-6, shooter19802003, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this.

Also (you may need to zoom in to see this) the reels aren’t even touching in the center. That’s asking for trouble. There’s also a little bit of space between the rows, which would be fine if they were double chained and/or sitting in racks, but as they are they are free to move about. I know some shippers out there like to space out the rows, but when I load them I always pack them tight together so they are touching.Dadetrucking305, D.Tibbitt, MACK E-6 and 4 others Thank this.
