Unfortunately if I was to buy a brand new truck tomorrow.

    Western Star
    Mack
    Frieghtliner 122
    Volvo

Before any Pacar products in current production.

    All trucks are mostly plastic.

I live on a pretty busy road with a "truck passing lane" in front of my house. If/when delivery guys call ahead, I'll ask them what they have and if they can blind-side, and which direction they're going after me. If it's a 53 or they're in a sleeper truck, I'll have them pull off the shoulder into my front yard (season permitting) and depending on which way they need to go after, I'll let them know a safe place they can turn around. For the most part, LTL guys with a pup or 48' can whip stuff around a heck of a lot better than me, and there hasn't been any issues. Most, if not all, are appreciative and understand.

Except one Fed-Ex guy. That mfr slapped on his 4 ways, stopped in the truck lane, and waddled back to open his door like he was on a quiet side street and insisted on me unloading him there (on the far side of the highway). I did it because I wanted my crap, but told him if I got hit, he better hope I die lol. I don't think he understood that either.

Some of our regulars are good, they'll blindside it like nothing. I just don't understand the reason for such an awkward and dangerous turnaround to get on the good side when he could have just drove around the block. He'd have achieved the same result with much less risk.

I gotta tell y’all it’s a means to an end. It’s the first plastic truck I’ve driven. But I will say this...all the years in flat top car haulers it’s nice, at 6’-5”, to finally be able to stand up to put my drawers on!!!:D

@BigBob410 I joke from time to time about plastic trucks but have nothing against them. Honestly besides the ####ing leaking windshields they're a good truck, that's what I learned to drive on. That airliner is good riding suspension. Unless a driver is doing something Darwin would applaud I give every truck the respect I want to be given in return.

And I envy how sharp they turn Lol. A W900 has more wheel cut than both of our Mack's. When I started driving for my dad I looked like a complete rookie again backing up. I was used to that 90° wheel cut being able to get back under the wagon really quick. Hell I still sometimes think I'll be able to get back under it in time but nope, lets pull up and try this again:(

I've had guys spot me before telling me to cut the wheel all the way. "Believe I am Lol don't ya think I'd cut it more if I had it". I have to set up my back's like a 275wb large car in a 218wb set back axle Lol. I'll take a pic of my wheel cut and let you guys laugh at me

Jerusalem cruiser haha now that's a new term. What is it?

I forgot you joined the dark side. Besides P&G all the places we go to are on the smaller side and treat you like a human being, even P&G treats us good. But I've realized that with most places if you treat them good they'll do the same in return. You have to remember a lot of these big DC's the people there don't get treated the best by some drivers either so I can see why some have an attitude

And if I do something stupid it's not like I don't stand out;) because there's just so many old CH's still running around with a custom paint scheme haha.
