    Wolfpack,

I went to roadmaster in Orlando fl. Can you learn at an accelerated pace? Also, do you have your permit and DOT physical? If all three are no, I would start on the permit part as you will have to a) take the general knowledge part, air brakes and combination. Note: Air brake endorsement stays on there forever. Overall good school if you can keep up. If not, they will work with you but it aint cheap. See my thread:

Thanks so much for your answer. Yesterday I had found a thread about the other school I listed. It was raving about the program. It is only a few miles from me and is only 750.00 for 8 weeks of training. I have decided this is the very best I can do in this area and am excited about it. I have an orientation the start of March. I am trying to get my things lined up to be ahead of the game. What is the DOT exam consisting of? I am overweight and wondered if that is a problem. Otherwise, I just had a general blood work up physical and am totally healthy! Just wondering.

You say you are overweight. The question is how much overweight. I've read a lot of posts talking about BMI (Body Mass Index). I read that some companies will not accept you if your BMI is above a certain number. If you don't know your BMI, google "BMI" and plug in your numbers (ht, wt, etc). Good luck Wolfpacktrucker!
