A bunch of smaller trucks are listed not just Class 8.
With only 1100 trucks spread over that many years affected by a wiring issue I'm thinking it may be CNG or other Alternative fuel rather than Diesel.
Looking at emissions studies in the past I noticed that CNG tends to put out more Methane than Diesel.
It sure would be nice if the recall notice clearly stated what specific system was affected.homeskillet, JolliRoger, Cattleman84 and 9 others Thank this. -
I believe methane is a byproduct of natural gas combustion. So it's probably some kind of safety alarm much like a CO2 detector.
Full disclosure, I DID NOT stay in a Holiday Inn last night.4mer trucker, InTooDeep, Speed_Drums and 11 others Thank this. -
I could proof test this methane detector just give me a chilicheese burger and 2 beers after a nap I can flood the zone.
