There's strange stuff out there for sure. Back in the summer of '81, late night, I was driving up S.R. 145, between Cobleskill and Middleburgh, NY, buddy of mine was also in the cab. Coming down the hill on a long straight stretch, I saw what looked like a road flare ahead, started slowing down, something happened up there I said, got closer and realized that the "road flare" was actually about 30' or so directly above the pavement. Stopped the truck, and we both watched it for a few seconds. It then shot real fast to the left and poof it was gone. There was nothing around us except corn fields, no houses, power lines, nothing. To this day, I have no idea what that was, but we both saw it. It was bright red just like a road flare would be, that's the best way I can describe it...singlescrewshaker, Gatordude, Crusader66 and 10 others Thank this.

There aren’t a lot of real men left that teach these lessons. Sounds like you were one of the lucky ones that got a MAN as a father. Prayers to you and your family. Sorry for your loss... hope he rests easy.singlescrewshaker, Speedy356, Gatordude and 14 others Thank this.

I'm dreading that day myself. My parents and I don't always see eye to eye but we can never seem to stay pissed off at each other for more than an hour or 2 at most when we do get into a disagreement.
I hope your son passes on the values you're instilling in him. God knows we need to keep these good values alive.singlescrewshaker, Gatordude, clausland and 15 others Thank this. -
Scrolling on my phone, see this picture.

Wellllllll….
5am this morning, was pulling out of the Love’s south of Macon GA. Trucks were parked on either side of the road. I nosed out slowly looking for cars. Looked both ways, pulling out turning left. There was a flatbed parked across the street from the truck stop entrance, so I could see over the trailer.
Turning left, my headlights beamed over the flatbed and illuminated the grass and the trees on the other side. It looked like someone was standing at the tree line. The thing is he stood upright and had the big long arms that hung past his knees. Here’s the crazy part: he had WHITE FUR all over. It was the fur that caught my attention. Okay, might be one of those furry fiends, right? Well, okay but the guy looked to be 9-10ft tall! And then my view was blocked by the cab of the flatbed.singlescrewshaker, BigBob410, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 9 others Thank this. -
White wolf standing on his hind legs? Some of those beasts are massive.
