I have a question. I have dual stacks behind the sleeper of my 95 Freightliner fld120. For it's year it is Owner Operator spec'd but I want to remove the stacks from the back and move them behind the doors. What would I need to complete this job and is it better to do it myself or let the pro's handle it?

I’m also curious what it would take. How do the brackets mount? What kit/brackets would be needed. Do you just use Classic hardware?

    It’s just plumbing
Some elbows. Brackets. A new set of $5,000 stacks etc
Not an impossible job and if you can do any sort of mechanical work then I’d tackle it myself

$$$ Probably new piping etc from turbo back. It can be done if you find an old FLD or Classic in the junk yard and buy the stuff there it would safe you a good bit. Hardest part will be mounting brackets on side of cab.

I would leave it like it is. The next few years are going to be tough. Save your money for things you need (tires, engine repair, etc..) If your exhaust is working fine let it be. You will probably lose a little MPG on the sides as well. Plus your hearing.

Having them out back is nice. Quieter all the way around. Even while parked and idling. Bunk is quieter.
