Where is everyone #5

I'm already down a couple grandparents. I spent a lot of time as a kid visiting with my grandparents. I kind of wish I'd have had more of a chance to hang out with my grandfather when I became an adult. Dementia was already setting in when I was in my early 20s. The knowledge and stories he had, sadly lost now.

My condolences brother. I know how you feel. Lost my dad on my middle daughters birthday in 03. Still get mixed emotions on that day.

 

I was sipping morning coffee when that came up. That boy went to sleep!

 

Last night, I was parked near Barstow CA. At the little Peggy Sue's diner. I was on a "normal" schedule. Going to bed at ten and getting up next morn around six. Just as I turned out the lights I heard a faint sound of a horn playing. At first I thought that I had left one of my entertainment devices on. Then the notes became clear. It was Taps, being played at the nearby Marine Corps installation. I smiled as I thought of all the nights I heard it played at the many bases I was at stateside and overseas.

 

Dropped him like a sack of potatoes!

 

He was OUT too, LOL. After he woke up I'd tell him his reflexes need work.
