    I’ll be watchIng.

Most of those people show up just to cry about being named. I edited her last name down to the initial, so that one won’t fly anymore.

But in this case there was t any agreement
She blew him off so isn’t his word null and void at that point?

I would have done the $1500 if she said. I’ll check and call back and then he seen it at the $1600 but his negotiations were long gone by this point

If you’ve never taken up the friendly little card game they call poker, you ought to consider it. You’d be pretty good at it. She decided to play poker with you and lost.

Had another load I called on today. They had it posted for 1700 and I offered 2000. I would have done for 18-19 if they countered. He said their rate was firm and I said no problem and have a great day. Even though it was a load that had to be loaded and delivered asap they evidently weren’t going to budge. Received an email 2.5 hrs later asking if I would do it for 2 and please head towards shipper so they could make delivery close to on time. By this time I would have been a work in at both ends so I declined and enjoyed my day off. I know these brokers are probably tired of the high rates but you think they would be willing to negotiate at least a little bit.

500 is gouging and I'm surprised he did that considering you had a load history. Poor decision IMO.

Rates are constantly changing during negotiations, she never accepted your offer or sent a rate con. Therefore, that rate was never confirmed. Every new, or subsequent call to the original inquiry, starts with a new offer, or modification to a previous offer. She had it posted for 16. You called and said you'd accept 16. There should have been nothing but an "ok, I'll send the confirmation", from her.

    GYPSY65 and Ruthless Thank this.
