Anybody using a space heater?

I use a small 1500 watt one when it gets cold. On lowest setting it is #### warm. It will run off the 2000 watt Yamaha or the normal generator whichever one I’m carrying

 

Why not get a diesel

and the metal safety cans are worth the money

the plastic ones can be dangerous .

 

The only time I have had them search my cab is for a radar detector or they strongly suspected my log book contained bull sheet. Both of which they never found any evidence of. Who TF carries a bird dog or lies about their whereabouts the nerve of some sunsabeaches I tell ya

 

This isn't an aux tank. It's an actual fuel tank. I'm going to recess it into a box with a lid between my frame rails. Then I'll have bulkhead fittings on that box and the generator box to avoid chafing. I'll secure the tank into the box with spring-loaded brackets to account for swelling.

I've been dreaming on it for a couple months now, finalizing the design in my head.


Will it be illegal in the end? Don't know, don't care. Call it a shortcoming in my personality. But if a cop will hassle you for that, he's going to find some other imaginary problem anyway. At least that's my feeling on the matter. I'm inexperienced in trucking, and there's probably many things I don't take seriously enough, and many things I take too seriously.

What size of generator with the Vorando ? How long run time between fill up at 750 watt ?
