    The trucking companies that are going to want them, are the ones that are SELF INSURED, which IMO should NOT be allowed.

    I was talking to a guy from Bristol, TN. If he had a CDL when he was 18, he would not have been allowed to drive from one side of the city to the other.

    On the other hand, when I was 17 and got my class A, I could drive all over the third largest state!

    You guys are worried about nothing.

    Most trucking companies want an incoming driver to be at least 21 years old (many, older than that), anyway.
