7 tickets outta 1400 drivers....well, thats a good ratio....yeah, you can compare THIS fiasco with a Company that "normally" closes its doors....good grief....think someones' snowball is melting.

True, BUT those other companies did NOT LEAVE their DRIVERS STRANDED all over the country, and turn OFF their commdata cards, SO if they had a PAYCHECK ON it, they LOST IT!!! ......... Forget which one it was, when they went belly up came in and told everyone to go home. Far FAR cry from leaving everyone STRANDED........... That's what gives.........:biggrin_2557:

The tickets were privately funded by a working man.
Im not going to run out a thread about other companys that
have done the same thing as Arrow.
This isnt the first time this has happened and likely not the last.
The only difference is the amount of drivers that got stranded
once ComData Services pulled the plug.

The way Arrow handled their closing of the business is what the topic is. It isn't that they closed their business. There are a lot of companies that have went belly-up and not just trucking companies. However, stating from a personal view since it was my hubby that was one that would have been stranded had he not been already home, the other drivers should have been told beforehand instead of leaving them out in the cold without. Isn't that what the "squawk box" is for? Information?? Was Arrow afraid that drivers would just abandon their trucks on the side of the hwy? (little joke). For the ones that think that is just usual, try wearing the shoes of the ones that were stranded.

As more info is becoming available it appears Arrow didn't have much choice
    to some extent.
Give it some more time and the truth will get out as to what transpired.

Cant change what has already happened,4 more drivers got tickets home yesterday compliments of a Freightliner Dealership.

I will get two more moved tomorrow from my area

I would think a company would know what dire straits they are in before just closing their doors and leaving drivers in the cold. As far as I know, there was no "going out of business" sign anywhere to let their drivers know they were shutting down. There was nothing on the Qualcomm letting their drivers know they were shutting down. The last message my hubby got was a recorded message to return his truck to the nearest Freightliner. Even on the Qualcomm and I am not quoting this verbatim, but it read something along the lines of being really busy and instead of calling in, just send them a message using the "squawk box". Who was to know that there was no one there to take a call?

Yeah, this is nonsense. You don't leave drivers stranded out there like that. Pigsticker could have sold some of his own crap and emptied his bank account to either put fuel in the tanks of bobtail tractors so they could drive it home, or bought bus tickets for those who could use one. But considering that a lot of drivers had MUCH more things in their truck that would fit on a bus, proper warning would have been nice. The only other way would be to put enough fuel in the tanks for those drivers to drop their trailers and bobtail home to the local dealer to drop it off at.

If Pigsticker would have impoverished himself in an effort to try to get drivers home before Xmas, I would have at least *some* faith in his humanity. He didn't lift a finger, nor did he even COMMUNICATE. I now wish him nothing but horrific pain and death.

Remember he posted online that he resigned a few days prior to the closing.
With this said it was his sorry way to say, Well Your screwed and it's not my fault.

Remember now days nobody wants to take blame for their actions.
I was an abused child. I was mentalty beat down by my parents

I was raised poor and no schooling

I was raised rich and never knew how to work for money.
The list can go on and on.

Hubby is in orientation at SRT this morning, says there are quite a few Arrow drivers there today. Still 20 drivers unaccounted for:biggrin_25513: Heard on CNN news this morning about it. Hubby said he heard that one driver was found dead, he was trying to walk home apparently, he was found in a ditch :biggrin_2553: Hope this is not true......
