run away, run away fast Jack! This is standard operating procedure for the industry.Wait until the EOBR rules are finalized! You will have to tell the dispatcher and the government the brand, how many sheets of toilet paper you used, when you used it,why, etc. The insurance industry has the trucking industry in a death grip.Who controls the government? Big money, and insurance companies are part of BIG government. If you follow Star Trek,NG,take a look at the technology it prophesied....
BORG is the way you are now connected, like it or not...and the cowboy trucker is going away fast..... If you stay 5 years in this industry a miracle has occurred.

A little over the top I think ... and since most of the industry is "self insured" anyway - with independent underwriters.
Reinsurers (the giant financial organizations that "insure" insurers) controlling the government might be closer to the truth.
Like how you managed two "Star Trek" references in your post though ...WINGWALKER9000 and knighton5 Thank this. -
yeah that sucks but hey werener sucks to havent heard anything good outta old cl s company since the boy took over

$300 a week!!! What a joke. I made more than that in my training days, and that was like 01/02!

EBOR's are not happening yet thats to thousands of calls from drivers who cared! The EBOR crapola is on a back burner for at least a year for extreme review with actual people who know whats going on!
Now everyone write a letter to all of your senators and congress critters and complain and explain why EBOR's are a bad idea and then explain that there is already an ECM on the truck that pretty much can tell the DOT what the truck has done without a O/O or company having to waste thousands for another big brother gimmick that a driver has to push buttons on just to qualify what the ECM records! The only thing an EBOR will record is when you go into the freaking sleeper! It already records when the truck is idling, when it is rolling and when it is off. Oh, OK, it will tell line 1,2,4 but isn't that the same as what a paper log does without having to remember to push a button? The paper log can be matched to the ECM! That easy! -
The ECM can be erased with the software for servicing the truck, at least portion of it, such as speed, idle time. EBOR's are coming.

heres my favorite part of the eobr according to the greenbook: If a driver or carrier is found to be abusing the EOBR, such as i may or may not do every day lol, the driver or carrier can be forced to permanently use paper logs....and paper logs are easier to abuse...wtf?
So we all need to find some jerk of a DOT officer to ban us from using an EOBR. Simple. Maybe if i can find dieselbear and piss him off enough he'll ban me from using my EOBR? Hmm.... -
Was in Werner's training program from Oct. '01-Feb. '02 and out of that time about six weeks was spent sitting in a hotel waiting on a trainer. As frustrating as it was I dealt with it and really enjoyed the driving experience.
Your Mileage May Vary. -
Sorry to hear he is having trouble getting a trainer.
I'm seriously considering Werner training out of Fontana, CA
Overall, it seems to me that werner profits from a trainee's sucess, not failure.
I mean CRS and CRE both charge a recent graduate for a 'refresher course',
that just seems wrong. -
More chance on being checked if your using paper logs!
