I work on a dedicated account in the midwest for a great company where I get 1.5 days off a week and 52 checks of a base salary of $1350 a week + bonuses as a w2 company driver. Last year I made $78k.
The only issue I have is the fact every single load assignment I receive is less than 600 miles long, almost always a live unload in the middle of the night, the unloaders take 5 hours to unload, and I'll only have 1 business day to get there so I pretty much do 5 live unloads a week. It's starting to take a toll on me after 1.5 years of doing it, but I don't want to work for cpm or go in extremely dangerous areas like Wyoming or Colorado.
I was looking to get unbiased opinions. Am I just being a ##### about this? Should I be grateful for income I receive and just suck it up? Or should I go back to otr and risk making $500 checks because my "dm doesn't have loads for me"?
Am I complaining too much?
