'They can see everything': Ex-Walmart worker says employees will freeze self-checkout registers to prevent theft in viral TikTok

 

I think the issue is that they freeze the self checkout machines on purpose,which makes the customer ask for assistance or makes the customers switch to another self checkout device-even they have Walmart greeters at the entrances/exits checking receipts anyway.

Usually when I go I’ll use either self checkout or the cashier lanes but it depends on which lanes were shorter. Sometimes the greeters would check for a receipt,sometimes they wouldn’t-I would usually show it to them on general principle.

 

IDK,I’d give a couple of these people a benefit of a doubt.
