    Fun times.
Wasn’t aware that it’s impossible to get a jb empty from 12-6am. Office not staffed.
Lesson learned if I want to run nights request one by 11.
Took until around 9am to finally get an empty location.
Got load from OH to KS.
Lost the bid on KS to TN. Bid 1,600 was counter offered for 1,202 accepted but was undercut before we could accept.
Booked a jb instant at an ok rate just to keep moving after Topeka.

Thank you for the regular updates! Honest, straightforward, no excuses, no BS. Very refreshing compared to lots of the "other information" that gets posted here and elsewhere!

    You’re welcome.
    Found out another little tidbit.
Ops team is mostly based in Columbia.
    Very responsive to text/email.
Only phone call I’ve had with them so far phone connection was staticky and person was difficult to under stand.
Didn’t realize it was cloud at first. Thought it was some type of warranty or other call.

Thank you for the updates. Keep’em coming. I’m very interested in O/O and CloudTruck, and this is very helpful.

I am pushing 62 years old. Got my CDL almost 6 years ago. I will be a Company Driver until I retire in 3-4 years. Don't need to take on the risk at my age. I like to see the SUCCESS and failure stories too!

CloudTrucks app is limited to 100 loads and there filtered by age.
Newest loads get grabbed by the app.
    I have DAT as well.
Looking at some stuff in Indiana going back to NH so I can grab my Ifta stickers.
By the time I can negotiate for them cloud app will filter them.
Calculated out fuel, after fuel I’ve nearly doubled my weekly average from cfi.
Considering purchasing a trailer. Found a few decently priced.
Would be nice to have a trailer that’s mine and can be parked without accruing a weekly fee considering my average shop time is 3 weeks or more.
So far I’m happy with the power only we'll see how the trailer chase continues.
Think the key for jb is to stay within the system but kind of defeats the purpose of being freelance.
    Read your ratecons
They will sometimes have special conditions.
Jb is a 25% penalty for bobtailing to a shipper.
Load I’m on now has a 25% penalty for not taking an empty.
Booked the other load so I’m not stuck with a jb trailer I have to get rid of.
I’m also still unsure as to what I can’t and can do.
As in since I’m not leased to jb. Can I just take a trailer? They seem to assign them.
Quite the learning curve with all this.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong ... but aren't the terms power only and trailer fee mutually exclusive?

    Not sure what you mean.
I haven’t paid a fee for a trailer yet for power only I was referring to the lease trailer.
The lease on the other hand is 250wk vs a loan of 600 month.
If my trucks down for 3 weeks again I think I’d rather have a trailer that’s a little less and monthly instead of weekly

Sorry if I misunderstood ... I interpreted your statement that you were currently being charged a trailer fee, while pulling power only.
