I bought my daughter a BMW X1 it's a good little SUV. Too small for me I am a suburban guy and have been for 35 years and get a new one every 10 years. Next one in 2025!

Stenmark was one of the greastest skiers of his time. Skiing is definitely a young persons sport. The shaped skis changed modern ski technique. I'm on 165cm fis SL 12m tr these days. Lots of turns lol.

 

Been thinking about a set of backcountries or telemarks, 2 knee surgeries kinda wiped me out of downhill, but I miss it

 

If memory serves Thoeni's book was entitled "The Racer's Edge" or something like that. It was required reading to work under the Ski School Director at the time.

Other than the 165cm part, I don't even know what the rest of that means. Lol I assume it has something to do with the waist width versus tip width? I demoed a pair last year. Supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. No camber, the tip and tail were terribly soft, and I felt as if I would fall over forward if I cranked on them to turn. I did finally just stand in the middle and got along okay I guess, but I was tempted to pull out the cruisers.
