Hi have you checked to see what the status is of your app. with ATS.
Sometimes things do get missplaced or lost.
    Just curious

Checking is a given dealing with my experience. Like a Recruiter for Hirschbach Lines told me........."Yes you have 10yrs experience, but it is easier and more economical for us to hire on new drivers with less or smaller experience. You will expect to hire on making .34-.38CPM out of the gate, while we can save and hire someone at .31CPM. Besides, your last job you had 3 yrs there BUT, you turned down 2 runs(200 and a 100mi) and with this economy as it is, you shoulda excepted them. Lastly, yes, your DMV is clean(last 6yrs), and you've never had an accident in 10yrs, but there is an over-flow of Drivers out there and we can pick and choose." Endquote.
NO, checking my current status of my apps out there isnt the problem.

Well, seeing as I have been leased to Midwest Specialized for over 6yrs, I may have some honest replies myself.....
First off, they have NOT fired company drivers due to anything but bad driving or being stupid with the equipment etc.
An example of this is the guy (maybe you?) that got fired for generally screwing up, and then loading a heavy steel load, not scaling it out and getting an overweight ticket. Ring a bell there bud? Cost Midwest a crane etc to move the load, and another truck.......hmmmm yep, I think I would fire the fool too.
The equipment is top notch, a reason a lot of us leased on here to begin with. The company trucks are very well spec'd out, as are all the trailers etc. So far as chains, binders, etc go, they are all made in the USA and rated for 7400lbs, unlike the China stuff that is rated for 5400lbs. Bad binders? Give me a break.
The "owner op that went bankrupt", care to give me a name there bud? News to me......And I know the vast majority of the guys here. As already posted, if you want to be home 4 nights a week, get picky about loads, and generally act like a 6yr old little girl, you will go broke anywhere.
Ignore me if you wish, I couldn't care less. But if you want to start whining about a good company, you may want to get your ducks in a row first. Only time I have seen them fire anyone is when the idiot well and truly deserved it.

Leftlanetruckin,:biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514: I kinda figured there was more to the story.

Chopper may not of been the driver you refered about, only he knows if he tells it or not. But I never heard that much bad about Midwest before.
I know a pilot car driver that works with several drivers there and know one of the former O/O that is now driving company trk. with ATS.
NO Midwest did not break him. A divorce did.

    cactusjack Thanks this.

Left home on Sunday after being there since before X mas.
Loaded Decatur Monday, unloaded Leavenworth Monday night but had to wait until Tuesday 7am to get bills signed . Reloaded Tuesday afternoon in Decatur and headed back to Leavenworth . Delivered Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday loaded in Salina,Ks for Houston , but Ks DOT wouldnt let me run with the OD load due to ice on road.
Currently in Ardmore,Ok, deliver Monday in Houston. Could have delivered today, but having to wait until this morning to leave set me back.....oh well.

The Il to Ks loads paid very good (#$3 a mile to trk), the Ks to Tx load is #$1.70 to the trk for 9'2" wide and legal weight. So we are getting the revenue on the loads, just hope it stays that way as I have quarterly taxes to pay in the middle of Jan!:biggrin_25513:

I don't have a clue what your expenses are, as a truck payment and fuel mileage can differ a lot.
Last year I grossed $180k for 91k miles. This year will be less due to me being lazy and having a few months off altogether:biggrin_25522:
Probably be #$150k for @100k miles at a guess, no 1099 yet though.

    Hi hotrod1653, Have I got a deal for you..:biggrin_25525:
I will sell you my trk and trl. 13 axle setup.
That way I can retire or do something else..

Last year was slow for me. Plus I only try and work 10 months out of the year.

Like left lane stated. The gross does'nt matter it's your operating costs and the revenue you make.

Last year 2009 I ran 51k miles apx. and my gross was right at 281k

Each type of work has different costs and revenue factors
