If you have only that amount of time at home, why haven’t you pushed the issue to get home?…LilRedRidingHood, snowlauncher, shooter19802003 and 3 others Thank this.

Trucking involves a lot of chaos these days especially with everything going on. Most companies are still scrambling for drivers because of the economical problems worldwide with the Global Supply Chain. Yes, you shouldn't of been home already more than 10 days so you need to push the issue for yourself demand it. The majority of companies don't want to lose drivers because drivers aren't replaceable especially now a days so you have leverage. There are an overwhelming amount of trucking jobs everywhere so let your dispatch know what your objective is.!LilRedRidingHood, dunchues and tscottme Thank this.

I just want to let everybody know I’m not blaming my companies at all the fault is mine 100%. I have a job paying pretty well for a beginner and I like seeing my bank account grow every week however with minimal contact with people other than shippers receivers and cashiers I see how this can affect your mental health

I used to drive on an account where you received a bonus for not going home. Same deal, after 8 months I was hating trucking and was absolutely miserable.
Switched to a home weekly account and so much happier now. Enjoying driving again. Also switched to night driving which I prefer. Good thing going for you is that by now you probably know what and how you like to drive. Definitely recommend getting off OTR and switching to what you want. As posted lot of opportunities exist.
Good luck!LilRedRidingHood, jsnell and dwells40 Thank this. -
What you could do also if your company allows you to take time off wherever find a good location take some time off & get a hotel room and go enjoy the sights and such…that way you can enjoy life a bit and recharge & get back at it.LilRedRidingHood, shooter19802003, gentleroger and 3 others Thank this.

Request home time in a warm climate. Most companies don't care where you take home time as long as it's in the freight lanes.
LilRedRidingHood Thanks this. -
I’m almost always home for at least 48 hours every weekend, and my paychecks are just fine. I still drive 2500-3000 miles every week (I worked six days last week and drove 3500).
