Been spending a lot of time reading on here lately, so I figure I should introduce myself.
Got a Class B back in 1998 running a garbage truck. Left to buy a dump truck, which thankfully fell through before I signed the paperwork. Got my Class A in 2000 and spent a couple years hauling open top trailers (best job I ever had). Ended up delivering Budweiser with a day cab, but left to start my own business. Economy killed my business (Jeep parts seem to be the first thing people cut out of their budgets), despite trying to keep it going by holding a night job cooking in a restaurant and a seasonal thing at UPS, so I'm going back to driving.
Currently looking for a local job, since my current situation needs me close to home, but it's been a little tougher than I would have thought. Just got my HazMat back after letting it lapse, and got my TWIC applied for, so it should make things easier.
Hope to get the wife to go OTR with me in a year or two, and never gave up on my dream of owning my own truck, but am in no rush to make it happen yet.

You said you worked extra jobs in an attempt to keep your business afloat and that you're in no hurry to own your own rig for OTR. Willingness to go the extra mile and patience! Good stuff!
