I don't understand their thinking. Not with how obviously bad these road conditions were and some still are.
For me as a newbie, I always feel like I probablly make the choice to pull off before some of the more experienced drivers do. But, I am often surprized at how many experienced drivers make the same choice. Then I don't feel like some green rookie, but a driver making a wise choice given the road conditions and their driving ability.
I know when I see all these trucks in the median or side of the road, some on their sides, some all jack knifed it is going to cost someone.

Its called being ####y.
The longer a driver goes without being in an accident the more likely they are to be in an accident, why? Because they start getting ####y. Some of the 'safe' drivers you see, mind you not all, but a good number, are accidents waiting to happen because they take chances that newbies wouldn't take because 'they are better drivers', 'they have never been in an accident', they are 'safe'. -
Call bs here, you obviously have no clue what you talking about... Plenty of accidents happen even when people are driving according to conditions.. But then again, since you said it it must be true

Looks like this driver F'd up. Not charged yet, but..... Definitely his actions that were the cause of the "accident".
I agree with roshea wholeheartedly. If you drive within the laws of the road, both written and unwritten, there should never be an "accident". -
