    I am in the Navy and I am a ammo accounting but I am presently on recruiting duty

    a TS clearance isn't as rare as people made it out to be.. i got mine once i became "Team Chief" AND started handling "com sec"..i know supply people that have TS's...i dont see what the big deal is about it.. i do the same thing now that i was doing as a PVT.

    There is different privilige levels as well though...jdsouza's would be used for access to ammo,but he wouldnt be able to stroll into the pentagon and and read war plans for afghanistan..Its also my understanding that when you get out of the military,you do not get to keep your top secret clearnce..Everyone I know that had one,military or civillian lost it when they either left the military,or their civillian job..Its not like a driver's license that you keep cause it has your name on it..I know one guy who left the military and started doing the same he did in the military,but as a civillian like a week later...The military took his clearance,and the company had to get him a civillian one..
