The FASS does a lot for many engines, especially if you run in the hot climates. I've had mine on since Sept of '08 and the motor runs totally different than what it did before the install. Not all products will work in all applications. The results depend on way to many variables to claim a clear cut improvement. I do agree that many products simply don't work and make no sense as to how they will work.

just got the turbo 3000d two days ago saw improvement in mileage usually when i run mty i see 6.8 to 7.1 mpg depending on where im running i left kingman az and was headed to phoenix az down highway 93 two lane road and hills in some spots i was curious to see what the mileage was after 100 miles i looked at my qualcomm and seen 8.3 and was really surprised didnt expect it to be that big of a jump and once i got loaded with 41,496lbs headed to los angeles area i ran 65 and it was slightly windy and fuel mileage dropped to 7.3 which usually without this fuel saver device i would have been getting 6.3 to 6.5. I have a detroit 60 pushing only 425 hp. with the michelin tires i have the michelin XZA3 for steers and the XDN2 for drives i liked my bridgestone steers i had before they were a softer compound tire which i liked the ride but with the XZA3 i notice a slight improvement but not much only about .1 to .2 to the gallon not really worth the extra money when you can buy a steer tire that has a little more rolling resistant but not a killer on the pocket so take what info you can from this post and apply it to your truck and see what it can do for you

I agree, if you want the fass for the fuel pump great. But I don't see anything special about the "system" you can buy 2 filter heads for $19 each, spin on the first filter which is a hydraulic filter, the a fuel filter and you've got a "fass" system for a fraction of the cost. The first series of Fass pumps were junk, you had to replace the brushes with almost every fuel fill up. They always replaced them for free but the downtime is still annoying. The newer ones are brushless so this isn't an issue anymore.

On a side note Air Dog is made by Charles Ekstam, who is the father of Brad Ekstam who is the owner of DPP (Fass) so I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Sorry, your reasoning is flawed. Using the dash readout or Qualcomm readout to get your mpg's is not the correct way to measure your fuel usage. It should be measured through fueling. A simple calculation comparing the miles on the odometer to the gallons pumped to refill the tanks will give you a much better and more consistent fuel mileage history.

As others have stated any measurable increase in mpgs has more to do with the driver slowing down and being more careful with his driving techniques than the Turbo 3000.

Funny thing is every time I hear an engineer challenge Kevin Rutherford on air about the technology behind the Turbo 3000 the call gets cut short. Of course he collects money from these guys so he is in their pocket.

Want to save on your fuel economy? Here are the simplest ways to increase your fuel economy and they cost the drive $00.00 out of pocket:

    SLOW DOWN,
    REDUCE UNNECESSARY IDLING,
    USE PROGRESSIVE SHIFTING,
USE ADVANCE DRIVING TECHNIQUES SUCH AS EASY ON THE THROTTLE, COAST GOING DOWNHILLS, ACCELERATE GRADUALLY, REDUCE NUMBER OF STOPS THROUGH COMBINING FUELING, SHOWERING, AND EATING.

    Big John Thanks this.

    Like has been said before.

IF there was really any honest to gawd measurable fuel savings every big company out there would be running them on their trucks. Every OEM truck maker would have the 3000D installed factory.

    They don't, and there isn't.

My question is what kind of truck/trl do you have that you are only getting 6.8-7.1 empty? That is not good to begin with. But then jlkklj777 is correct and the qc in not the way to measure mpg's.

will do that i only added 40 gallons of fuel to get me home from phoenix i usually dont use the qualcomm for fuel mpg accuracy it not totally accurate but is accurate on the amount of fuel burned im going to track my fuel fill ups and see how big of an increase this product does
