This is a scary thought. I've seen it about a hundred times on YT. How do you avoid this in a truck (whether semi or box)?
My used a trucker GPS, when he started but said it wasn't always accurate. He drives certain routes now that he knows well, but how do you avoid this if you're always driving different places?

Hitting Low Overpasses?
Hitting Low Flying Planes?
Getting LOST?
Avoidance Procured By Not Beginning A Journey OR By "Paying Attention" To SIGNAGE and not the g.p.s., that so many "brain surgeons have done, are doing & will do".

CHEERz!!Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
Overpasses, specifically.
As a normal driver of non-commercial vehicles, I 've never paid attention to bridge signs. It's just something you don't notice unless it's relevant.
Is the height always displayed prominently, and far enough in advance, and perhaps multiple times, to easily avoid this situation? -
NO!!
MANY Overpasses Have NO Signage denoting Height/Clearance. -
Not always. Use your eyes. Use your head.
