That is why I didn't submit. I don't trust the agent. Last time she told me to make a change it made my insurance higher. Why? I think they want to upsell. They really want your costs higher unless you are leaving and getting insurance with another.

She's telling me she is checking for better rates. It didn't work out the last time.
I will contact another agent for Northland and check with them directly or through another agent. And I will add Great West to the list.

 

They should ask for the IRP since it shows the percentage of each state. They should ask for that instead of IFTA breakdowns.
I will trust my gut and check with another agent.

My insurance quote with Progressive isn't bad. I'll keep that if I won't get better.

 

I was told by another agent that Northland does usually require the state breakdown. Great West might ask for it.
So, I did send a copy to a different agent.

 

Would you change to Northland to save $400? The good thing about Northland is that you don't have to pay in full to get a lower rate. With Progressive I need to pay in full. But I was prepared for it already.

 

That I know. But IRP shows percentage. I guess someone can calculate the percentage from IFTA reports themselves.
But IFTA provides more details.

The agent knows other truck drivers I know. Would they sell the info to other drivers? Yes, that is actually my main concern.
You don't see people here bragging about the lanes they run. An agent working with drivers who also does all paperwork for some of the firms might be telling other drivers where to run. You know Chicago is small in that regard. You are in the midwest.
I'm sure that is just me worrying for nothing since they most likely have seen it all.
