In our training class, we moved from the terminal to the hotel and switched roommates. I still keep in touch with both roommates from training class.

Something about going through training together, when everything is so new and intimidating, that makes you friends quickly. Its a good thing.

 

Well gotta go see a ortho doc this afternoon. It appears I have 2 herinated disc now that may need surgery. Boy so not looking forward to this at all. But dam get me out of this pain!!!!!!!

Minor point if you sat for 2 days you just lost $ 20.00 times 12 well thats $ 240.00. If you miss H/T by 3 days you just lost $ 120.00 times 12 $ 1,440.00 they now don't have to get you home on time how bout xmas $ 250.00 gone. Detention will only pay if your M/13 is in within 30 minutes of you appt time if not no detention at all. The company drivers lost atleast $ 3,500 in a year because of the pay cut. How bout .28 cpm 2,500 miles a week means $ 25.00 a week times 45 weeks allowing for H/T $ 1,125.00 a year. I could go on but why we all lost money lots of it. Don't forget the $ 15.00 for every ontime load 2 a week times 45 weeks $ 1,350.00 a year.

Well this is my last night of HT. Things went well at my sisters house and am glad I came. Just took them out for Mexican food as her BD present. Pretty good place.
Looks like my 1st load is going to be a swap. Swapping in Carlisle and going to Andover, MA with it. Got Direct TV installed in the truck while here. Going to ride under the sis's package and since she works for a distributer, got the whole package. At least now i'll have something to watch when sitting.

What does the 12 mean? Is it number of months or hours. Will freight pick
up in March? When do the checks start getting better? I'm not driving for central yet.I will be soon and was told the pay for the first couple checks will be low does it get better after a few weeks?

 

today, we repowered someones load in w virginia from NC. The other driver didn't scale the load until w virginia and the load turns out to be overweight. So our FM is sending us back to the shipper to get partially unloaded but first my trainer is getting an overweight ticket at the scalehouse in VA. Probably get another one in NC. How did the other driver get past these scales without getting a ticket and taking the load back?

 

Doctor update. It is a lot worse than I had thought. It appears I have fractured my L5 vert and possibly broken my L4. Going for a MRI in the morning. That will determine if I need surgery or not. I am asking for prayer tonight I reallllllllllllllly don't want back surgery. This is one time I am truely scared. 1bad won't be able to be here and that really scares the hell out of me knowing he won't be there when I wake up but can't do anything about that. Hopefully both are just fractured and time will heal it.

Glad you enjoyed the time with your sister!!!!!! Was going to spend the weekend with mine but that has been put on the back burner for now.

Well the muscle relaxers and perocet is kicking in so I am off to bed in a little while. Everyone travel safe and know how much you are missed back home when you are away.
