Hi, I'm starting this thread to share my experience with Nova Lines, as a company and Lease purchase.
    A little about me.
I'm 33 and have been trucking since I was 18. I started working for a local Grain Co-Op running Intrastate in Texas hauling grain. As soon as I turned 21, I went OTR. I've hauled Refrigerated, Livestock, Grain and there's a few years of Flatbed and Step deck in there. I've paid if a Lease purchase with MGR freight systems, and have owned two trucks. Due to overworking myself and burning out, I sold them both. I made some bad decisions and broke myself. Nevertheless, it's time to get back on top of things. And I'm ready to do this the best way that I know how in trucking.
Currently, I work for a small company out of OKC. Pulling a Hopper bottom, running over the road. As a company driver, this is the best job I've ever had in trucking. It's bitter sweet leaving, knowing I'm leaving a great boss with steady work, to going to Nova. Facing the unknown is always somewhat a nerve wracking experience. But I need to get on the right Ladder to get to where I want to be in life.
I applied with Nova and got approved a month ago, I gave my current employer a months noticed and I'm starting orientation with Nova on the 10th of Jan. I'm waiting to hear from the recruiter this week, I'll keep you all updated.

Update #1, My recruiter from Nova Lines just called me. To verify dates, and set me up with a Drug Test. They Booked me a Car For travel to orientation, and a Hotel Room at the Hilton.
The only time I went to a company orientation that was paid by the co. The room was at the No Tell Hotel, and travel was a ticket on the hound. This is starting out great, and I think it's extremely generous of them to be accommodating driver's like this. I hope this is a reflection of what's to come. I'm not looking for handouts, however this was a nice surprise, and a pleasant start to this new Adventure.

Update #2, they wanted me to do a Pre employment, Drug test before I got there if it was possible, so today, I had some time in Topeka, Ks. I called my recruiter, and he set me up with a pre employment test within a few minutes. I got that out of the way. The next step is getting picking up the car they rented for me, and driving to south chicago on saturday. I'm ready to get started.

Not at all, will post an update in a bit. I wanted to get in a full two weeks. But it's all good. I won't worry about Gross numbers too much, because honestly they don't matter. My first full week i took home $2,900
This week I'm sitting around $4,500 Net.
I need to do the math to get an accurate number.
The gross was $8,800 my first week, and my second full week was $11,200
I'll write it all out here in a bit.

From what I understand, they are looking into a reefer division, but for now it's just Flatbed.
To answer your other question. They are from Moldova, I'm dispatched from Moldova. Everyone in the office in orientation was American. I did meet the VP of Nova Lines as well. I really like my dispatcher so far we make a great team. I believe they are percentage paid aswell, so they are motivated to get you the best rates possible.
They are extremely big on safety. For someone like myself, that had always worked for small outlaw companies, that was a shocker, however I understand the reasons why they are .
You will run hard, within legal hours of service.
I think many people think of a lease purchase as easy money, in my opinion thoes are the people that don't do well. However if you're willing to work and stay after it at a steady pace it can be very profitable. So far I've ran out my 70 every week in about five and a half days. Most of the time when my restart is up, it's time to roll as soon as I get to that 34 hr mark. The same with the 10 HR breaks. It's all work. This is not a good fit for a truck stop cowboy. But it's a great fit for someone that is all about making money and finding financial success in life.
