We are very close to getting this solved. When Keri's new iPhone gets here she will have two sim cards. For now, it's not an issue because she is not going to be doing any more international flights at least for the next several months. She was working on this trip because another person was on vacation. However, when another position opens up she will be doing international on a regular basis. Then we will use that 2nd sim to set her up with a 2nd phone number based out of Europe. This seems to be the best way to do it. I'm not all that up on doing this. I just know it will be set up once it's needed.

A problem is that other countries use a different cell system. The couple of times I ran up to B.C. had to start and accept an international call/data plan at about $5 per day to get service. Or buy a disposable phone if I just wanted to make calls. But since all the load info stuff was tied to the cell, I got to pay the extortion price.

The OM has had her BLT and ice cream. She has authorized the rest of the day for rest and cooking.

DDT was VERY effective against bedbugs.

Then Rachel Carson said, "Hey, this DDT is really persistent in the environment. Should we REALLY be spraying this willy-nilly on EVERYTHING, including the kids running around in the fog of the county mosquito control truck?"

So DDT was banned in the early 70s.

A good thing for many species.

Including the bedbugs, who, through natural selection, acquired immunity to the decreasing levels of DDT in the environment, becoming effectively immune to the pesticide.

So, worked out great for the bedbugs.

The humans, well,.....maybe not so much.

Although, I was one of the kids running around in the fog of the county mosquito control truck, and I turned out okay. I think......I guess so.

    True.

If I was actually IN Kazakhstan, I'd need a local plan and different sim card.

But, WhatsApp does the job in the current circumstances.

    Ohio has a bedbug problem.

Gov DeWine asked the EPA for special permission to use DDT as a "last-resort" option for bad infestations.

The EPA answered "Not only NO, but #### NO!!!"
