Cummins N14 died while high idling and won't restart.
Checked so far;
Oil, coolant, ecm fuses, fuel shutoff Solenoid, checked power to fuel Solenoid steady at 12v, all wiring.
Still won't restart and I'm not getting any smoke whatsoever coming from the stacks.
Last time this happened it was the Cam sensor. But that was replaced 3 weeks ago.

Could be bad ECM

Air in fuel lines? Clogger fuel filter?
-
Check fuel pressure at com port. I had the little gear on front of fuel pump strip out. Stops em dead.
BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
Speed Timing sensor? A common failure item.

New does not always mean good.
-
Take off the fuel filter and see if u r getting fuel
-
Probably a clogged fuel line try n start it with starting fulid
-
Looked into it further. Fuel pump isn't even pumping fuel. Filter is full. No clogs anywhere. It's not even pumping past the pump jumped. So this new part is already toast.
Since I'm not cummins certified they won't warranty the #### part without me going to a cummins certified shop.
So tired of this crap. -
What new part is toast?
If your fuel pump isn't working, could be the spider gear gave out. It's not metal.
