Have you decided on a Name yet..Pink Panther...Pink Pile of Poop ??

 

Yeah, I'm not denying the worth of the engine vs oil......but it all adds up. Oil and filters are getting more expensive by the day. I don't wanna go to the super extended drain intervals, because that scares me. But if I can cut my interval in half......18k from 9k. That's alot of money when it's all said and done. I dunno...I've got a couple a days to figure it out.

 

I sample every oil change. My mpg is all over the place because of where I run. Heck, there are days going across WY in the winter where I can literally watch my fuel gauge go down in real time. My samples have always been good. I usually change oil between 9-11k. Just because that's how it works out when I get home.

 

So "1-2 Weeks" turned into "Will be ready tomorrow"

That escalated quickly.

 

You guys have it good. Still working on load #1. Have to dig literally every pallet out of a 2 foot snowdrift and then load it. Figure I've got about 22k on the deck now and about 12 feet of deck left to load.

 

14 days will be three years and counting if ya let em

Is this based on straight petroleum based oils?

 

Yes Dino oil.Synthetic let’s you run your OCI’s longer but you still have all that soot and wear metals accumulating and damaging the internals.
