I wonder how it's done daily if coming home. Must be unloaded pretty fast I assume. You have some good lanes with regular clients?

I stay two, three nights overnight, rest home.
I ran less miles last year than you though. I took more time off.

looks like you made $50k in addition to paying your wages
might think about splitting the truck repairs into 1) ownership costs 2) preventative maintenance / consumables (service, tires) 3) major repair
for some people ownership is the payment, for others its just an amount of depreciation collected so that you have an escrowed amount to eventually buy new equipment. it isnt free just because its paid offAnother Canadian driver, Jed2009 and Boondock Thank this. -

If I time it just right it's not uncommon to deliver/reload & deliver all in the same day. But booking like that you have to really know the customer isn't gonna hold you up and screw the rest of your day. Those days are usually 12-14 hr with maybe 300 milesAnother Canadian driver and Beaver9 Thank this. -
@Beaver9
If you live in a good lane where you can keep home base in the middle getting home daily is easy. Easy to do in the Northeast. Works out good living on the I-81 corridorAnother Canadian driver, Beaver9 and Jed2009 Thank this. -
I’m not sure how much personal vehicle driving history helps but I have 0 tickets or accidents or anything on my record. So maybe that helps too.
Truck and trailer are also cheap old things for minimal coverage.
