Little to none. For me I woke up in the middle of the night and my back hurt. Thought I was just sleeping wrong. Then it got worse and worse. I thought I was gonna be sick so I sat on the porcelain throne. Within 5 minutes I was army crawling for my phone. From “what in the world is that pain?” to “Jesus just take me now” I’d say 30 minutes.
Kidney stones. Hell that hurt!

Just speaking for my self and I'am no Dr.. I don't remember there being any warning for me .. I remember I loaded mid afternoon felt ok and about 8 pm I started feeling kinda sore and about 2 hrs later I'am not to proud to admit I had tears in my eyes... it was like 3 or 4 in the morning when I meet up with my buddy and it was like another 1 to the ER...
They told me that my was probably cause from the amount of dairy products I was consuming.. I used to drink chocolate milk like a gallon a day to offest getting Amped Up on the 8 or 10 monsters I was drinking in a 24 hr period
I didn't tell them about the monsters .. I still drink that many a day just cut way back on the milk ...knock wood ... I haven't had any since that episodeJoeyJunk, motocross25 and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
I've had lower back problems since my early 20s. When I got my stone, I initially thought it was back problems again.
BUT, with my lower back problems, I can usually find some sort of position to give me at least some relief. Not with the stone. Therefore, it'll wear you out quick.
Also in relation to lower back problems, recovery is slow, usually weeks.
BUT, with the stone, I felt healed as soon as it passed. -
To further along with what you’re sayin I feel a person will NEVER be in tune to lower back aches like one who has experienced a kidney stone. Every little tinge I think “here we go! This is the big one!” And being a trucker, lower back pains aches and spasms are more than common. And even now a good 5 years after my stone it crosses my mind. I moved recently and the next day my lower back was aching. I had the oven on and my hand on the handle, ready to put my head in if it was a stone. It’s a pain that’s like nothing else and you never really forget.

Needing emergency medical care out on the road is one of my biggest fears. I just hope I'm somewhere like Waco(Baylor Medical Center) and not BFE Wyoming or New Mexico.

How many times have you been to see the proctologist and during the exam he puts both his hands on your shoulders???? Let me tell you what, that was a weird experience. Especially when the actual doctor walked in.JoeyJunk, pumpkinishere, motocross25 and 4 others Thank this.

At least the fifth doctor used lube. The first four doctors were like: "You subscribe to OOIDA? You're used to getting bent over dry."JoeyJunk, 201, motocross25 and 1 other person Thank this.
