You negotiate with broker and yes you get rate con you actually can call whoever broker you already have a relationship with in just email cloud I don't even deal with cloud board I have a relationship with one broker he always gives me premium rates for my Freight that I load I've been running their loads for the last 3 months cloud might offer $3,000 for the load I let my broken know I'm interested in this load which is one of their loads he boosted up to $3, 300 I'm winning every time with a few more hundred every time

 

Lol you are correct most of these companies are stealing from you all you had to do is build a relationship with a broker. You can book your load from any reputable broker if you don't trust cloud. I've been running for clouds since June 2021 I finally got a broker did I go through so I know I'm getting the right rates when you look on cloud board the rates are extremely high because of covid this is the perfect time to be a owner operator on the spot market

Been keeping this topic going posting numbers and updates for those interested.
This topics attracted a lot of new accounts that post once or twice never to be seen again. Not sure why.
I kind of like the power only some what.

Made the mistake of taking a 28’ load out to start off the month.

 

Some February updates
Pilot/Flying J discount is .15
Road ranger is .20

Safety ratings taken a hit.
Guilty of contributing to that myself unfortunately. Got cited for no log sheets in NY.

February letter said that a full tractor inspection must be done quarterly.
This wasn’t mentioned during on boarding.
Not sure if it was forgotten about or if this is a new policy to help try to combat equipment violations.

People always think if it sounds too good to be true then it isn't but honestly cloud is straightforward there really is no dispatch you really do get paid instantly it's the best decision I've made since I've been an owner operator. Only downside of cloud is they do a lot of communicating via text message

 

Text isn’t too bad.
I text when a ratecons coming. After that I don’t hear anything. I like that instead of before when cfi would start blowing up my peoplenet.
Love how fast we get paid.
Paid 20 minutes after drop.

 

So far very happy.
