Had way too many with minor things that were piggy backed. Had a Pete one time that the headliner fell down going down the road the first trip. Driver did a good job of keeping it on the road. Warranty starts with the time/miles when you get it. The dealers i've used track them pretty good. The one you described, that problem would be noted and covered.

Kenworth came through for me! With a T680 ordered in the first week of June, and followed by (only, let's be realistic) a 6% price increase in September.

This dry van hauler doesn't have a lot of bling items on it, but hopefully it will be a solid workhorse with a hi-roof sleeper, good Michelin rubber, some working oriented options like a Holland 5th wheel, upgraded air dryer, an Endurant 12 speed automatic transmission, level 1 Alcoa wheels, desk and tv mount package, and a full 5 year/500k mile extended warranty on the engine, the chassis, and the after treatment system (for an extra $11k). Total cost - with FET - was $170,000. And I'll tell you what, I feel darn lucky to get it. The engine is a 450 horse Paccar MX-13, and I'm not ashamed of making this choice. Yes the service network will be smaller than with a Cummins, but it looks to me like Paccar has largely solved it's earlier problems with DPF reliability. And this engine will hopefully beat the Cummins X-15 in the fuel sipping department. However if you want to talk unreliability, frankly, I don't know why so many O/O's are willing to slam Paccar, but then look the other way when it comes to the disastrous (previous generation) Cummins ISX-15.

This made me laugh. The exact same thing happened to me. Yesterday I was walking up to my truck for the first time with what turned out to be a senior Kenworth guy (I'm in Seattle), and looking at that front bumper I said to him, "well, I see one possible problem right off the bat". But after putting my fingers behind the plate I quickly felt that the collision avoidance system was not installed - as I had specified.

I hope it treats you well. I to would pick the paccar engine over the Cummins any day of the week.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! I love that color. What do they call it?

Very very nice truck and I’m happy for you.

I have both of mine on the road turning miles. No problems to report so far.

Nice truck, really like that color. Had a Paccar in my 2014 T-680 and had zero problems with it.
Was 500hp and traded it in with 750k miles..

I've actually forgotten, and it's not clearly stated in the specs. But it's the metallic silver color you often see luxury auto sedans painted. I liked other colors as well, but this may be a little cooler than some in the brutal summer heat we often get these days? And I've heard a few people comment that it tends to remain cleaner looking when dirty, as well.

A simple stripe would really set that truck off.
