Gazoo. Help me out, Lease to LS a few years back, I have no access to BCO load board, I ran flatbed, no good paying loads out there plus fuel hit 4.50 a gal. So I quit and sold my rig, Need to know what drop & hook LS van trailers are paying And is there enough loads to keep going with out a bunch of dead headin ???? I know it only pays 67% but I need to get back on the road. Be Safe out There

Not 67%. 67% of 98%.
There isn't that much drop nd hook in vans.
Van rates this summer were about $1.35 mi avaerage. Fuel included. that's gross rate. I couldn't do it. Ake it for what its worth -
And gazoo is long gone. Out of trucking all together. He couldn't do it either.
-
Medicine man thanks for the input, 67% of $1.35 would not pay for fuel. Are you running for ls, what fright keeps you rollin
-
'freight' i mean, too #### early, need more coffee !!!!

What happen to Gazoo ??

No I'm not running for landstar. I live in TX so rates were even worse. I really wanted LS to work I just couldn't. I kept having to do stupid things like run to new England just to get a rate good enough to cover fuel. Then do a few short runs to get out of there.
There is a few people around here who pull flats for them and seem to do oky. Its hard to tell the truth from the bs. Landstars like a cult, I refused to drink the koolaid. When I Talk bad about LS they all come out in force to bash me.
I do know about the only way to do good there is if you've been there 20 years and have the contacts. If your new and hve to work the load board you will starve.
I think gazoo took a job selling tires or something if I remember right. Don't know where he's at. -

As for LS, I've been talking to them. I've got mixed reviews and still considering one other company. My best friend was an Agent from 2001 to 2003, his dad owned a DD, and his brother ran it. They did really well with the OD loads, pretty good with some SD loads with the DD trailer. They would pull a dry box when the other stuff was slow and didn't like it at all. -
What bout pulling a flatbed for LS? Is the freight there?
