I sure have been doing a lot of unpaid sitting lately. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasnt for the most stupid reasons ever:
My APU has been running like crap for months, because I got a PM and a moron mechanic put a belt on it too loose and didnt check to make sure the control panel socket was firmly plugged in. Have dealt with it for a very long time, because mostly i could make it run. Maintenance didnt care, would always tell me to get to a terminal, but i'd always have a load and im here to make money so...
Well, this weekend i put my foot down..it was -4, apu stalled would NOT restart, had a load that left me sitting all weekend. got a hotel, and maintenance said, oh, wait til tomorrow to get apu fixed. Tomorrow came, maintenance said wait til tomorrow. Tomorrow came, they told me to go to the terminal, have dispatch tell me how to get there. Well, i called dispatch and it turns out there really isnt a terminal i never heard of in the area, and im 400 miles from one. Waited *ALL DAY* to get a load to Indianapolis, and guess what? More sleeping without the apu working right (but i could sleep an hour or two at a time). Finally got to Indy, they sent me to a carrier dealership. WTF? I could've gone when i was in wisconsin, days ago, and made some money this week. WTF? And it was afterhours too, so come ON. I had a halfway decent load to pickup this afternoon and take to michigan, but night dispatch took it away from me after they found out i was in a shop last night. Now i have a 40 mile load that delivers tomorrow, and its 6am. The load will pay $40. I can make that much at mcdonalds in a day. APU works perfectly though.
I am guaranteed to make a maximum of $200 this week, because of the morons in maintenance. F this.

Funny, I thought yesterday I was going to be good to go at another carrier. They discovered my Florida license was still valid, yet I surrendered it to TN in August. i am good to go once Florida cancels it.
With the stupid recruiter at Werner freaking on my MVR even after I had it corrected safety refused to hire me. How did the other carrier determine I had 2 valid licenses and Weiner didn't?

You have obviously not been reading my posts. You always come around and act like i'm a darn idiot. IT WAS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT WOULD HIRE ME, besides covenant. And covenant is worse than werner!

Werner might have looked. They probably read it properly. The other mega carrier must not know that is how Florida does things. I am waiting on my back ground check to come back. When it does I am doing a physical and drug test today and going with a smaller OTR company that has 120 drivers.
I will hold the mega carrier in my pocket in case the smaller guys flake out.
