What about McElroy, Boyd, and other flat bed companies in Bama? Arrow is solid experience. If you can confirm you worked there.

Birmingham has lots of steel.

I read elsewhere on this forum that TransAm is wanting L/O's only.

Central has lots of ads in my area. They want you to lease also.

 

Western Express recruiter was kinda cold on the phone and said that they pay .26cpm. I didn't bother filling out the app when I heard that. Flatbedding for .26cpm? Really?

 

Saved you a large headache, I think !!!

out of all those which would be the best with someone who has alittle expearience meaning I have held my Class B license for alittle over 2 years and I am looking into getting my Class A license soon very soon all these companies have offered me training at there course in Indiana.
CR England wants to stick me in the class and they want me to know if I want to do it by tomorrow at 5pm 01/14/2010 I have to pay 200.00 Processing fee<<Thats a car selling thing>>

Good afternoon Stretch2006 and welcome to the forum! Please excuse the meanderings of one of the older wannabes around here but I strongly recommend that you spend some "quality time" with your computer before making ANY decisions about where to get your CDL training. You'll likely get some pretty candid replies from other members here with respect to the companies you are looking at.....pay very close attention!!! Before these folks (forum members) start weighing in with replies, familiarize yourself with the "Report a Bad Company" sub-forum. Ok, meandering over! Oldnewbiegonnabe, out!

 

Run as far from CRE as you can. I think they try to hustle you into class before you can adequately research the company. I ALMOST fell into the same thing. There are other, better companies.

There are just too many horror stories about CRE to make me feel comfortable.

BTW to the OP - I talked to Conway Truckload recruiting today and they told me that the only students that they are accepting right now are husband/wife teams.

Werner, PAM (PTSI) and Swift are definitely still taking students. They all started processing my app. As I stated before, Western Express is too.

Lucky me, I just got accepted by Maverick. So they are too. Just waiting for them to fit into orientation.

 

Boys requires 3 months experience.
