Like @TROOPER to TRUCKER said this website has online practice tests or click on this link. You will need to pass the tests for General, Combination, and Air Brakes. There are multiple version of each of those tests.

I prefer to take the practice tests at another website called TruckerCountry.com. In my experience Trucker Country has more versions of each test so it's less likely you will see a surprise question when you take the test at your state's testing center. Just keep taking the online tests until you regularly score 90% or more.

The technique I suggest is to take the tests at TruckerCountry.com. Take the test in Classic Mode. Don't answer any questions, but scroll to the bottom of the page and click Calculate Your Grade. This will give you the correct answers to each question. Now take the same test again, but mark the correct answers for each question. After each correct answer is marked. Retake the same test BUT ONLY READ THE CORRECT ANSWER. Never read a wrong answer for the questions. Do this for each version of the test and do it for each version of the General, Combination, and Air Brake tests. On test day all you need to do is read the question at the state testing center and recognize which answer is familiar.

    Good Luck.

Do you all have a good video of them pretrip inspection that shows the part in question? If my student doesn't know what it looks like she/he can't confidently touch a part and then verbalize what they would do then.

There are numerous pre-trip inspection videos on YouTube. I suggest you use the ones from truck driving schools.I like this one

At the same time you can test for the tank and double/triple endorsements - both just a one time written test and not difficult.

HAZMAT requires a few additional hoops with TSA background and fingerprints and also needs to be renewed periodically. Some companies will pay for you to get that one later if they require it.

Agree strongly with the above. IMO, everyone should get the Tanker endorsement, along with Doubles/Triples. Every endorsement is one more obstacle you REMOVE from your future career. The tests are simple and cheap and never expire or require re-testing.

    Boondock Thanks this.
