If you ever stop trucking again, all you have to do is change your self-certification to one of the 4 categories that don't require a current medical exam instead of getting a new medical exam every year or two. Some states have 2, other states have only 1 one option that doesn't require you keep a current medical. Just google your state and CDL self-certify form. Fill out the form and make sure you keep written proof the sate has your new status.runallnight Thanks this.
