They have somewhat fast trucks. 9 hours of drive time, and four hours on the dock. It'd have to go smoothly, but there is some wiggle room.

It was actually a really good run when it didn’t snow or the wind wasn’t blowing hard in Wyoming. Other than that it sucked, slightly less than being on call with almost no seniority. I don’t plan to run to Salt Lake or Buffalo in the winter in the near future. Maybe for CRAZY MONEY, but not regular old money.

I do a run like that all the time in a 65mph truck and it’s 4 hours each way when the start and end are both right off the interstate. Of course my run is either a turn and burn or at most 2 hours of paid delay, not driving a forklift for 4 hours…

Every company is waiting to replace us. The only drivers who will be safe for a while will be P&D and food service guys. Until Elon invents the robot pallet jack and two-wheeler, that is.

I'm hoping I can be gone before the robots take over linehaul work, but my goal is 15 more years which might be a stretch.

I love those naive futurists who see people with more free time to pursue their passions.

I see starvation in the streets.
