Kinda wrong scoop too . I believe it was Daimler that told drivers to bring the truck to dealers . I don't know what Arrow management expected drivers to do but I doubt they wanted Daimler to get possession of the trailers .

Dec. 21st - Hammond, LA - My fuel stop and my fuel card doesn't work. Call my driver Manager and she said she didn't think it will be back that evening. I told her I didn't have the fuel to keep going, that I was going to park it there until it's on. She said to go ahead and park it.

Dec. 22nd - Still waiting on the fuel card to be turned back on. Talk to a couple of Melton drivers repowering a load. The older one said he talked to a million miler that morning and the news was that Arrow closed it's doors. I finally get hold of my Driver Manager and she said to take the truck to the nearest Freightliner dealer, we are all out of jobs. I told her that I still have my load. It would be best if they would turn on the card, let deliver my load in Baytown, TX and then I could take the truck to the Houston yard. I said that puts me further from home, but it's the right thing to do. She agreed and said if it were up to her, that's what we'd do, but there's no money. Ginny, you were a great driver manager. I'll miss you. She gave me the number to Daimler Financial to get the bus ticket home.

I took the truck to the Freightliner dealer and called the number. I told the lady that I had too much stuff to to carry through a bus terminal, not to mention I'd have to get a cab to the bus station. I need to rent a car. She said I'd have to pay for it and gave an address to send the receipts to for reimbursement. She was pleasant. That's what I did and drove home to Chelsea, AL that evening. Got the reimbursement check a couple days ago.

I believe Daimler used bus tickets/up to $200 reimbursements to bait the drivers into bringing the trucks to them as opposed to having to send someone to find them and repo them. Thank you Daimler. Where Arrow came up short, you came through. I know it was in your best interest, but it was a win for you and the right thing to do for us.

Good to here at least one of their drivers had enough money to get a rental for the trip home. Good luck to you.

I called KW and gave them directions to their truck sitting at the flying hook at exit 323 on I81 in VA a couple weeks ago. Guy was very happy I called. Said there were still a few missing but they got most of them back or at least located.

Still not surprised that was the path Dougie would take.
