2019 Freightliner - Fuel/DEF issue

    240 miles after fueling and filling the DEF tank, the truck fuel and DEF guages went to zero and the truck shut down like it was out of gas. However, after examining, there was plenty of fuel and DEF. What would cause this problem? It's dangerous to be coast to the side of the freeway... Ryder (who owns the truck) says they cannot find a problem. ???

    Their truck, their problem.

    Sounds like an electrical issue to me.

    Possible electric short on the main harness. Mine had this issue and the dealership fixed it free under warranty.

    2019 is a bit early for the power distribution module to be going bad. But everything shuts down like that when they do. You usually get a few episodes of everything shutting off, then coming right back on before it fails altogether.

    they lied... there is no suck a thing like main harness. Also def gauge is not hardwired to def tank sensor...
