That's really cool. I remember when I was little and my friends dad was building his house at the time they cooked on one all the time.

My girlfriend grew up in a very primitive style environment. She has zero desire to go back to it. So I don’t think my dreams of owning one will ever happen. They didn't have this type of stove but they also didn’t have real electricity. Two generators (lawn mower engines is what they were) that ran on gasoline or natural gas. 7-8 of them in an old single wide trailer with a jerry rigged addition on the back corner. I worker with her brother in the oilfield and he always had these wild stories and I called BS every time. He said I would understand when I finally got to visit. Boy was that an experience. Only one left there is dad. Once he is gone the trailer will be removed in pieces and a nice new home built. Not sure about electric. It’s very expensive to run up from the road.

If it makes you fine gentlemen feel any better, I spent some of the afternoon outside in a t-shirt and jeans enjoying warm weather and blue skies.

In all seriousness, my hat is off to those who don't mind living in the more northern/colder climates. Don't mind freezing temps and snow in short bursts, but the three winters I spent living near Chicago taught me that some climates just aren't for me.

I chased my girlfriend off the coast off NC due to my job at the time. Now because of her job she won’t go back. Man if I could go back and change that!

We had to put the AC on starting today. Was outside in shorts with an adult beverage or 4.
