One big reason schneider national didn’t renew their contract with Loblaws was Loblaws wouldn’t pay fuel surcharge and apparently wasn’t paying schneider the agreed fuel surcharge on the first contract so they didn’t renew.

i worked out of Ajax warehouse when it first
opened in 2008 until contract ended in 2011 probably still be there to be honest . the 1.5 hr one way him killed me through

I went to scotlyns office once to read their o/o contract. They would not email it to me nor let me take it home with me to read. That was before phones had cameras in them so I could not take pictures of it. The contract was written in way that only a lawyer would understand and i had to read 3 times each sentence to understand it. After may be 10 pages out of 30 I decided its enough. I never worked for them and never will.

But yet, many more get swindled into their promises. I reviewed their contract a year ago. Sickening really. But of course, on par with most mid size carriers.

In another post in this thread someone commented about Loblaws. They are a horrible company. They treat all there suppliers with disdain. Delivering to the Regina warehouse is a true test of your patience. Can ve a 6 hour ordeal.

Many get sucked into thinking one day they will own those sweet looking 389s and w900s ,not realizing the only small chance you may have is if you live in the truck and never go home .I will admit i looked at them a few times but all the bad threads scared me away

Now you can’t park on road and elog won’t let you creep around building like guys used to at 3 am for you’re appointment so it blows a big chunk of you’re day unless you’re company allows a split sleeper.

The little c store that is close by is owned by an Indian tribe. I could never understand why they did not have teuck lanes and parking.

Sounds about right, Loblaws has now pretty much bankrupted IHaul. Loblaws is now sending their own trucks into the US to get produce.

One comment about Scotlynn, I've never seen anyone complete their lease, but I know several who abandon the trucks or turned them back in, and owed Scotlynn money after murdering themselves to make it work.

The current company I work for, refuses to deal with Loblaws or Scotlynn, even if its through a broker or agency.

Sobeys Edmonton is just as bad as Loblaws .. you pretty much almost get into fist fights with certain day cabs with a Buffalo on them.they keep trying to scoop your door then pull out the phone to record you when you’re arguing with them and dare you to hit them. Second time that happened I went inside to receiver he shrugged his shoulders. I said oh well your rush load is leaving and I left and dropped it at another carrier the next morning my company dropped those shipments shortly after . Drivers were more important than the LTL we delivered to them.

Scott the kid running them now, just like his old man would walk over your dead body to pick up a nickle.
