When I ship softwood out of my sawmill in log form I need to have it debarked for some states. I'll turn logs into cants and stack the trailer and don't have problems at the scales. You say your gonna cut and dry the wood and ship it to MA.--- if you have a kiln ticket you should be able to ship the lumber anywhere. You best contact Ag inspection stations in each state though to be safe since your gonna haul across the country--- you will be cross'in some communist countrys.

If you are looking to transport a large amount of logs I would look into rail transportation. Trains can haul more but I’m not sure on cost. Just something to consider.
